Best Puppy Bitch Tasker’s GOYTRE REPEAT STORY
I would like to
thank the committee for inviting me to judge, I had a very enjoyable day.
There was a great
variation in quality and type, I found the standard in males much poorer than
in bitches that I judged last year, although I was very pleased with my placed
dogs.
1st
Hawker’s Foxbarton Taittinger. Lovely head and expression, well balanced puppy of good type. Moved very soundly, well presented and shown.
2nd
Turner’s Locheil Finnishing First. A very nice puppy. Very immature, but shows a lot of promise. Moved well, very good side gait.
3rd
Green’s Fayken Final Fantazy.
1st Hawker’s
Foxbarton Taittinger.
2nd
Holtappel’s Bryning Bright Spark. Different type, much heavier in body and shorter in leg. Good head, moved soundly.
3rd Cowlard's
Caleykiz That’ll Be The Day.
1st Young’s
Stillmoor Ice In The Sun. A well-balanced dog standing and moving. Good head and expression. Moved well.
2nd
Judd’s Nobite Destination Unknown. Another very nice dog with excellent side
gait, very close decision between first and second.
3rd
Robinson’s Sheltysham Spelstruck.
1st
Paton’s Willianways Scotch Accent. Excellent shoulders and upper arm, good rear
angulation , very good movement.
2nd Young’s
Stillmoor Ice In The Sun.
3rd Robinson’s
Sheltysham Spelstruck.
1st
Jones’s Sianworth Firecracker. Lovely head and expression, moved well when
settled.
2nd
Durrant’s Rosmarinus The Choclatier. Sound mover, would have liked more of him
3rd
1st
2nd
Ward’s Starside Paddy. Masculine head with good expression. Well balanced when
standing, could have moved a bit more freely when gaiting, but was sound coming
and going.
3rd Layte’s
Locheil Polar Express.
1st Wiltshire’s
Caleykiz Lets Twist Again. Lovely head and shape. Very good on the move. Would
have liked a bit more substance.
2nd
Lloyd’s Littlethorn Rolls Royce at Brooksbid. Lovely alert expression. Lovely
side gait, but moved very close behind.
3rd
Jones’s Sianworth Mystic Knight.
1st
Wiltshire & Carter’s Caleykiz Mystical Dragon. Very good head with alert
expression. Good angles fore and aft. Lovely free effortless movement.
2nd
3rd
Collin’s Blackgold Eggcellant.
1st
& CC Wiltshire’s Caleykiz I Got Rhythm. This dog caught my eye as soon as
he came in the ring, and I loved him. Beautiful shoulder and upper arm
placement, lovely rear angulation. Lovely head with keen alert expression. Unfortunately,
he was very unsettled on the move and his handler had to work
really hard to
get the best out of him. When settled he moves beautifully, to me he is a true
Border Collie in all ways and more than deserved the time I
allowed for the
handler to get him settled.
2nd
Turner & Solanti’s Sh Ch Pikkupaienem Great Pretender at Locheil. A lovely
dog who is a worthy Ch. Good front and rear angulation. Very good side gait.
3rd
Schevenels-Phengdis Eyes Of The World Easy Rider.
1st &
RCC Jones’s Sianworth Celtic Magician. Coming up to nine years, and this dog
has got better and better with maturity. Beautiful head and expression, well
angulated fore and aft. Super side gait. His handler gets the very best out of
him.
2nd
Large, Harlow, Baylis & Woods Sh Ch/Am Ch Borderfame I Am I Said. Different
type to 1st, very good head and expression. Sound on the move.
3rd
Mockford’s SnowmereTarn.
1st
Detania Autumnal Prince at Olistazia.
2nd
Welsh & Simmons Wizaland Abracadabra. A nice well-balanced dog that moved
soundly.
3rd
Bryning Bright Spark.
Judge: Pam Harris
I would like to thank the Society for the invitation to judge at this
friendly well run show, and to my two very efficient stewards.
It was a lovely entry of some beautifully presented bitches. I was looking
for a well constructed lithe specimen that could move with
minimal lift of feet, and the bee in my bonnet on this occasion were eyes the
standard says oval, not round and protruding, oval well padded feet again
not round short or flat, that are beginning to predominant the breed nor
did I want the very short heavy muzzle and over pronounced stop; in fact
looking for the best combination of Nz and English breeding, and was over
the moon to find I had a choice and feel quality of bitches far exceeds those
of dogs.
Minor Puppy Bitch (17, 1a)
A lovely class many with a very bright future but do watch temperaments paramount in any breed, and don’t pressurize babies. I was very taken with all
those short listed.
1st Mrs A Tasker GOYTRE REPEAT THE STORY almost 9mths old and mature looking. Lovely
head nothing over done with the sweetest of expressions good length of
neck and level topline well constructed giving a picture of balance feet need to tighten but will come with age hence picked up some floor
covering in-between the back pads just spoiling her movement in the last few yards and in the challenge but had no hesitation in awarding her BEST PUPPY BITCH.
2nd Miss R Durrant ROSMARINUS PETTICOAT TAILS 6mths old today a fabulous baby and so composed for one so young . Perfectly constructed, clean
well balanced outline with adequate bone which I hope she maintains. Head and
expression to die for on good length of neck. She reminded me of my
original borders upheld by looking at her breeding. Movement a little erratic
due to age but ran 1st very close who won as she flowed round.
3rd Mrs H Turner LOCHEIL VICTORIA'S SECRET.
Puppy Bitch (7,
0a)
1st Mrs C & Miss D Wiltshire’s CALEYKIZ THE LAST TWIST Almost a year old Pleasing head not overdone well placed eyes of correct shape Nice body outline and well constructed ,movement not settled yet
but
promising preferred the feet and at the moment the front movement of the best
puppy
2nd Mr & Mrs Collins BLACKGOLD OCTAVIA 10.5 mths old. A much bigger girl of
great construction and moved the best in class. Lovely eyes and feet with a
long reach of neck. Just lacked the femininity of one.
3rd Mrs T Dimbleby FENBORDERS JAZZMATAZ.
Junior Bitch (9, 1a)
1st Mrs Y Strachan ALTRICIA LADY LAUREL Pretty bitch of lovely shape and
balance an attractive head of good proportions well shaped dark brown eyes
and topped with neat well used ears. Good depth of chest
without width. And
tail below the hocks. Moved with minimal lift of well shaped feet.
2nd Miss K Hamilton KIAMINOGUES DOLLY DIMPLE slightly heavier than 1 and
not the neck or feet. Lovely head and expression from perfectly placed and
shaped eyes and one of the few with visible under jaw. Moved beautifully
3rd Mrs C Griffiths KAELEON SUMMER BREEZE.
Yearling (11,
1a)
1st Miss & Mr S Blackshaw & Warwick LOCHEIL MISS INDEPENDENT AT
RUFFS Very feminine, lovely outline, well balanced .Good front Well
proportioned head and one of very few that had some visible under jaw.
Nicely made young lady with well padded and shaped feet Moved beautifully
with minimum lift of feet
2nd Mrs V Avory TERRICA FASCINATION Nice head and expression lovely
dark oval eyes. Level topline, Moved very well, just preferred the rear
angulations of one.

Novice (4,
0a)
1st Mrs Y Strachan ALTRICIA LADY LAUREL.
2nd Mrs A Tasker GOYTRE REPEAT THE STORY.

Post
Graduate (20, 5a)
1st Mrs W Hagan TRIBBOCH SHES THE ONE. Heavily mottled black and white in lovely coat and bloom that in no way detracted from her shape and
expression. Lovely head and eye with good length of neck going into
well placed
shoulders. Well sprung ribs and good depth of brisket Nice straight rear and
good length of tail Moved excellently and such that one felt would keep going
for hours. Res C.C. & Reserve B.I.S.
2nd Mrs V. Tiller FOXBARTON LADY CHANDON JW. Another lovely girl not quite
the spring of ribs or front of one but being younger will come with maturity
Clean outline well balanced and again neat well shaped a
nd padded
feet Going over her was a pleasure and another great mover.
3rd Miss V Carley GOYTRE TIA'S LEGACY OF DREAMS AT JUPAVIA
Mid Limit (5,
0a)
1st Mrs M Turner LITTLETHORN SAPPHIRE. A beautiful young lady just coming into or going out of coat, which in the challenge just spoilt her overall picture .Well constructed and mature for age. Pretty head and
expression good stop and well placed eyes. Her movement was a pleasure to
watch and very true. Shade longer in loin than my top 2.
2nd Miss P Hales LACEWAY BEE-WITCHING. Blue merle with lovely clear markings
and truly blue. Ran 1 hard just preferred the stop and muzzle of 1. Good
shoulders and upper arm well sprung ribs and level topline good parallel
back legs neat tight feet. Super movement.
3rd Large, Fitzgerald & Harlow WIZALAND SOUL CONNECTION
Limit (11,
0a)
1st Mrs A Pennington ALTRICIA FANCY FREE OF TUDORHURST. Immediately took
my eye, reminding me of Shady Lady. Beautiful head with well-shaped eyes
and responsive ears, this set on a long reach of neck with well placed
shoulders and decent upper arm .Nice front, level topline held at all times
.Lovely turn of stifle and not too long in loin. Good length of tail. Feet nice
shape though pads a little flat. Moved with minimal lift of feet and drive and
head not carried too high. Immaculately presented, coat of good texture and
length a gorgeous picture nothing too over done. I felt suitable to work sheep
or be a chocolate box picture.
Well deserved C.C. and Best In Show.
2nd Miss K Gaylard LOCHEIL NORDIC LIGHTS OVER KAELEON A very pretty girl with
lovely expression, Nice length of neck and good shoulders well balanced and level topline. Moved well. To split hairs, feet were rounder and shorter than 1 and had longer hocks.
3rd Mr & Mrs G Ravenscroft MIRAJE PLAY MISTY FOR RAVENSCOL JW
Open (14, 5a)
1st Mr R Tunnicliff Sh Ch LITTLETHORN KIA A beautiful bitch
to go over so well constructed lovely head and expression and moves
beautifully just lost out on top honours today as I felt she appeared
a little matronly. 2nd Mrs P Ward STARSIDE LUCY LOU A little smaller heavier set than 1 lovely head with great eye shape ears slightly wider set but sensitive to use.
Good reach of neck and well made shoulders. Level topline. Moved well not the feet of one

Penny Forster-Cooper
Junior Handling
6 to 11 years
1st Damon Smith aged 8 – handling a six-month-old puppy at its first show – gave Damon some challenges, which he coped with very well. Once he had the bitch settled moved her with good pace and followed my instructions exactly making good use of the ring.
12-16 years
1st Hannah Fawcett – very confident handler – stood the bitch to perfection, made good use of the ring – both handlers at first did not take the exact instructions from me – in turns of a triangle – but corrected when asked to move their dogs again.
Best Veteran
Best Any Other Colour
Hales’ Laceway Bee-Witching. Merle bitch, excels in head with good stop, flat skull, overall well balanced, covered the ground well with minimum lift – very well handled.
